Well man, Orochimaru was the main villain of Part I, back there our main characters were all much weaker than now, Orochimaru now wouldn’t be able to do that, still we haven’t seen Orochimaru at full strength in Part II (maybe just when he fought 4tailed Naruto), the other Akatsuki defeated until now were fighting more than one person (except Deidara) when Orochimaru was in Konoha Sandaime faced him alone and he still had to fight 2 other Hokages not to mention that he was old and had less chakra due to that. So I don’t think Kishi exaggerated Oro. It’s just that Naruto and company got a lot stronger while we haven’t seen Oro at full power in Part II, that’s why he looks weak compared to other Akatsuki now, and exaggerated in Part I.
About Kisame, Pain indeed said he has the greater chakra of Akatsuki, but that doesn’t mean he is the strongest, strength can’t be seen only as chakra if so Naruto would be invincible from the beginning, or Shikamaru for example, he doesn’t have much chakra but his intelligence makes him strong.

I don’t think the 8 tails is one of the 7 swordsman of the mist, first he is from the Cloud village, and you got Suigetsu, I think he know all the 7 so he would recognize him.

I think Obito’s option is more credible, but since we also didn’t saw Minato really dead it makes it possible for him to be alive just like Obito, I just don’t think he is (my opinion, sorry if this sounds poor but I don’t want to start the tobito topic again) as for the White Fang in Kakashi Gaiden you can see a picture with him dead in front of Kakashi after committing suicide, so he is dead.

That 8tail man doesn’t seem to be ”alone” like other jinchuuriki. He actually seems quite respected and praised for his strenght. Pretty much since the guy from who Sasuke got information didn’t want to betray him(village), unlike other villages who nearly seemed cheerful to get rid of their own jinchuuriki.
That brings me Naruto, the guy who wants to be acknowledge by his village. If it’s true that the Hachibi is an important ninja of his village, then the parallele with Naruto is quite obvious. I know someone stated that earlier, can’t remember who, that our 8tails might actually work with Naruto at some point. Depending of how Sasuke’s fight ends, it may actually makes sense for both jinchuuriki to work toguether.
If Kishi is consistent to his story, all kids who grown up with a bijuu had a painful and lonely existance. So they are all bind by that feeling, where the concept of village is meaningless (as explained by Kakashi in the Gaara arc). Perhaps the Hachibi would become some sort of mentor for Naruto, who knows.
Just throwing ideas randomly, it may be completely wrong since bijuus must be captured for the story to move towards Naruto, the last tailed demon.

I’m having second thoughts about Naruto,when I first watched Naruto and seen the fox chakra be exposed during the fight with Haku I was like wow,that guy has a unique power.But as the story progresses you learn that chakra is a double edged sword for Naruto.If used “Lightly” it helps him out.But if abused it hurts him…Daniel take this into consideration(See if this makes since).During naruto’s fight with Sasuke (Their last fight before shippuden)how was this healing possible before but while fighting Sasuke it did’nt sow recovery when Sasuke numbed his arm???Then the fact his wounds heal afterwards.So it puts into motion of how/when this part of his chakra activates…

Nine tailed foxes are indeed present in Japanese folklore but they were more than just one, foxes in a generic way were believed to be magic creatures and they could have many tails according to age and knowledge, the max was 9 tails.
The only legend of Yamata no Orochi is the one about his fight with Susanoo and the snake was killed by that god, there is nothing about an octopus related to Orochi as well. What you posted is fan fiction created by some naruto fan in that site.

sasuke was not what numbed naruto’s arm in that fight, it was the cloak that numbed it.
