Yeah this has just caught me of guard, but it also tells me that Urahara has been planning something for some time now, and Aizen either knows or has some idea about it.
i think kubo gave us a big hint here, note what urahara said regarding nest of maggots and dismissal from the gotei thirteen. which points out that, logically speaking anyone including urahara was to create anything that would be potientially harmful to the soul scoiety, they would be locked up even though they havnt physically created harm. now, rather then getting locked up in the nest of maggots or executed for creating “Hou Gyoku, urahara got exiled from the soul society and into the real world, where he can still do stuff freely.
since i dont think its possible that the soul society couldnt lock up or executed urahara. i think kubo is suggesting that urahara in the real world now its all planned a hundred years ago for something big that will happen soon
(just a wild guess, maybe something even bigger then aizen?)
speakin of hints.. does anybody else think its ominous that shinji was aizen’s captain? i mean.. from wat we’v seen the link between captain and lieutenant is a strong one… so why, if shinji was changed into a vaizard by the hougyoku (as someone suggest’d a while back).. why didnt aizen do the same… and follow his captain? more than that.. why didnt urahara use it himself….?
im also interested to see how kaname fits into this here..
I think Aizen didn’t used the hougyoku to became a vaizard, because Shinji and Urahara didn’t wanted to, remember last chapter, I think Shinji knew Aizen better than anyone else. And Urahara didn’t used it himself maybe because cientist prefef to use others as expirements.
Guys a thought here, ichigo’s dad isn’t shown here, we know he knew urahara and they were friends in some form, we also know he is very powerfull and he says he is at a captains level but never says he is a captain, is it maybe possible that he is this royal guard class that it mentioned on the last chapter, it might explain why he wears the cape deal like he does.

hmm. would anyone agree that nest of maggots looks like the underground training ground that ichigo and yoruichi went to during the saving rukia arc.
